In Yoga, you concentrate entirely on the movement that you are currently performing. This is a practice of mindfulness, body awareness and inner strength. Yoga can help you resolve physical and emotional blockades and meet everyday challenges with more calmness and self-assurance.
As a holistic path of practice, yoga supports the discovery of one's own resources and promotes mindfulness with oneself and one's surroundings. Yoga is about calming and stabilizing the mind and becoming calm and free from external obstacles, recognizing what in life prevents us from being carefree. For this purpose, especially when learning more difficult asanas (physical exercises), we can recognize our mental thought patterns (self-doubt, fears, anger, etc.), which can exert pressure on many levels from within and thus have an influence on our physical and psychological being.
Thus, yoga is not about performance, but - how we can free ourselves from all that covers our natural abilities and our perfection. The goal of yoga, in addition to a healthy body, is to develop a clear mind, which will allow our inner diamond in the rough to shine and our potential to unfold free from obstacles.
Each lesson is dedicated to a specific theme, and I like to incorporate the philosophy of yoga. I combine varied and classical elements:
Slow, powerful and flowing physical exercises (Asanas)
Breathing exercises (Pranayama)
Relaxation at the end of the exercises (Shavasana)
The main part is formed by the asanas (physical exercises), in which we strive for a balance between stability (Stira) and simultaneous lightness (Sukha). The breathing exercises and the final relaxation will improve your body awareness and concentration. So that you feel strengthened, satisfied and relaxed after the yoga class.
Yin Yoga is a very meditative way of yoga. It is all about the art of letting go, about peace and ease. In Yin Yoga, we passively let ourselves sink into seated or lying postures. That's why this type of yoga works without muscle tension.
The poses are held for three or five minutes each. This has a powerful effect all the way down to the deepest layers of the body. The Nervous system, joints, ligaments, tendons, bones and the entire fascia- and meridian system are being stimulated.
Through Yin Yoga, blockages like back pain, can be resolved in a gentle way. It opens and widens narrowed structures, improves the flow of energy in the body and ensures mental regeneration. With Yin Yoga, you reduce physical, mental and emotional stress.
Aerial Flow is a style of yoga that takes place with the help of a wide hammock suspended from the ceiling. It is a mixture of yoga and Pilates methods, supplemented with a few additional acrobatic elements. The movements in the sling are great fun; letting go in weightlessness creates new experiences of movement. At the same time, your coordination and balance are strengthened and your flexibility is significantly improved.
The movement in and on the hammock has an effect on the deepest layers of your body, so that your body feels wonderfully supplied with blood after the training. You will perceive your body on a new level and learn exciting movement sequences. Often a little courage and confidence is required so that you will leave the class feeling confident and positive.
